When your team jerseys arrive, count the items and compare them with your approved order before handing them out. Check each name, number and size, set aside anything that needs a closer look, and record who collects each jersey.

New jersey day deserves a little celebration. It also deserves a clear table, because sorting a team order on a damp dressing-room floor is a tough way to start.
Open the delivery with your order records nearby
Have the approved proof, final team sheet and order confirmation ready. Puck Drop Prints' ordering process includes proof and team-information approval. Those records give you a better reference than a screenshot of an early jersey idea.
Check whether the delivery information indicates more than one parcel. An item that has not arrived yet and an item missing from a completed delivery need different follow-up. Keep the packaging and any packing documents while you check.
If a parcel looks damaged, photograph it before opening. Open carefully so the contents are protected, then place the jerseys on a clean, dry surface.
Count first, then check player details
Separate the order by jersey set or color. Count jerseys and any ordered accessories separately. If you ordered two jerseys per player, check both sets rather than counting one pile and assuming the other matches.
- Match each garment to a row on your approved team sheet.
- Compare the nameplate spelling and every number digit.
- Check the size label against the requested size and cut.
- Look over the front, back and sleeves for visible questions about artwork, lettering or construction.
- Record checked items and put unresolved items in a separate pile.
Use the approved proof when checking the artwork. A player's memory of the first mockup may differ from the version the team approved.
Keep a short delivery log
You can add a separate delivery tab to your existing team sheet. Keep the approved ordering information unchanged so you can still compare what was requested with what arrived.
| Field | What to record |
|---|---|
| Player or spare ID | Who the item belongs to, or which spare it is |
| Item and set | Jersey color or set, plus any separate accessories |
| Checked | Whether the item matches the approved order record |
| Question | A specific discrepancy or visible concern |
| Collected | Pickup date and collector |
If you need an initial roster sheet, use the guide to collecting team jersey details. The delivery log tracks what happens after that order arrives.
Document questions before jerseys leave the table
Photograph the full garment and a close-up of the detail in question. Include the size label when it is relevant. Write down what the approved record says and what you received, then contact your order contact with the order reference.
Keep the affected item aside and ask about next steps before washing, altering or wearing it. The right resolution depends on the specific issue and applicable order terms. This checklist does not promise a replacement, refund or reporting window.
Make pickup easy to follow
Group checked items by player and label each bundle with a removable tag. Ask the collector to confirm the name and number before leaving. Record when someone collects for a teammate so the captain does not end up searching for a jersey that is already in another car.
Store uncollected jerseys somewhere clean and dry. Add spares to the team's inventory instead of leaving them in an unmarked box.
Jersey delivery FAQs
Should players try jerseys on at pickup?
They can check fit, but keep the delivery check separate from a fit preference. First confirm the label matches the approved order. If there is a concern, document it and ask your order contact before altering the garment.
What should players know about washing?
Ask them to read the garment's care label first. You can also share the jersey care guide as a general reference.
What if a player misses pickup?
Keep their items labeled and arrange a separate collection. Update the log when the bundle changes hands.
Once every item is checked and every pickup is recorded, take the team photo. The new sweaters have earned their moment.
