By the Puck Drop Prints team. Updated October 2026.
A custom hockey jersey reorder at Puck Drop Prints is $85 each for one or two pieces on roller and sublimated jerseys, and $99 each on reversible and pro tackle twill. Order three or more and every jersey drops back to your original team price of $55, $65 or $99. Reorders are only available to teams that have already placed a team order.
Somebody always shows up in week six.
A buddy of a buddy, a goalie you poached from the Tuesday league, a guy who swears he played juniors and is currently 40 pounds past it. He is on the bench in a plain black practice sweater looking like he wandered in off the street, because the other 14 guys have matching jerseys and he does not.
That is a reorder. Here is exactly what one costs, how long it takes, and the one quirk in the pricing that means three jerseys sometimes cost less than two.
What is a hockey jersey reorder?
A hockey jersey reorder is a repeat run of a team's existing custom design, produced from artwork already on file, placed after the original team order has gone through. It is not a new order. There is no design stage, no proof round, and no six-jersey minimum, just the same sweater, in whatever size and name and number you need.
The minimum is the part people get backwards. Puck Drop Prints does not sell one-off custom jerseys to somebody walking in cold: the published team minimum is six jerseys on all four types. But the FAQ is explicit that "you can reorder a single jersey if a team order has already been placed."
So the six-jersey floor applies once, to your first order. After that, one is a perfectly legal number.
What does a custom hockey jersey reorder cost?
Reorder pricing runs on two tiers. One or two pieces costs $85 each on roller and sublimated and $99 each on reversible and pro tackle twill. Three or more pieces resets to the original team price, $55 roller, $65 sublimated, $99 reversible, $99 pro. Names, numbers and worldwide shipping stay included at both tiers.

Want the full uniform? Uni Kits are priced per player at 6+ players: Sublimated kit $100 (reg $120), Tackle Twill kit $134 (reg $154), Reversible kit $134 (reg $154), and the Roller kit (jersey + roller pants) $100. Pant shells are $35 and socks $20 on their own. See the pricing page, or start building yours in the jersey customizer.

Two things fall out of that table that nobody else in this category will tell you, because almost nobody else in this category publishes a reorder price at all.
The $99 jerseys have no reorder premium. Reversible and pro tackle twill cost the same whether you buy fourteen or one. If your team is on twill and you lose a jersey in a snowbank, you are out $99, the exact number you paid in August.
The cheap jerseys have the expensive reorder. Roller goes from $55 to $85, a 55% jump, which is the biggest premium of the four. Sublimated goes $65 to $85, a 31% jump.
Which is a long way of saying the discount jersey is only a discount if you order it right the first time.
Why three jerseys can cost less than two
Because the third piece triggers team pricing, the total for three jerseys can actually be lower than the total for two. On roller, two reorders cost $170 and three cost $165, the third jersey does not cost you money, it saves you five bucks. On sublimated, three cost $195 versus $170 for two, so the third jersey lands at $25.
The three-piece break
What the third jersey actually costs you
| Jersey type | 2 jerseys | 3 jerseys | Cost of the 3rd |
|---|---|---|---|
| Roller | $170 | $165 | −$5 |
| Sublimated | $170 | $195 | $25 |
| Reversible | $198 | $297 | $99 |
| Pro tackle twill | $198 | $297 | $99 |
Reorders of 1 to 2 pieces are $85 on roller and sublimated; 3 or more resets to team pricing of $55 and $65.
So the rule for a roller team is simple: if you need two, order three. You will pay less and you will have a blank spare hanging in the bag for the next guy, which is the whole problem solved for negative five dollars.
For a sublimated team, the third jersey at $25 is less than half the $65 list price. If there is any chance a fourteenth or fifteenth guy turns up before March, and there always is, that is the cheapest insurance in hockey.
The reversible and twill teams get no such trick. Their consolation is that they were never overpaying on the small orders to begin with.
The cheapest reorder is the one you never have to place
If your team order has not gone into production yet, you do not need a reorder at all. The Puck Drop Prints FAQ states it plainly: "as long as we have not sent your order into production, you can add to it." An added jersey at that stage is just part of the team order, at the team price.
That is a $20 swing on a sublimated jersey and a $30 swing on roller, for the price of one text message to your captain.
It also saves you about a month. A jersey added before production ships with everybody else's. A jersey ordered in November arrives on its own schedule, and your new guy plays six games in a borrowed sweater while he waits.
The practical version: when you are collecting sizes, add one or two extras to the sheet. Our guide on how to collect jersey sizes, names and numbers has the spreadsheet approach that makes that easy, and Puck Drop Prints publishes all 26 jersey sizes with real measurements, so a spare in L actually fits somebody.

Names and numbers are included on every jersey type, on the first order and on the reorder. No per-letter charge, no surprise line item.
Will a reordered jersey match the rest of the team?
It is printed from the same artwork file, so the design, the colours and the layout are the same order you approved. Sublimation prints dye directly into the fabric from your file, which means a jersey made in November comes off the same artwork as one made in August. Your team keeps that artwork for future orders, it is yours, not something you re-buy.
Sublimation is a printing process that turns dye into a gas so it bonds into the polyester fibre rather than sitting on top of it, which is why a sublimated jersey does not crack or peel and why a reprint matches rather than drifting.
Two things you do control, and should:
- Order the same jersey type. A sublimated jersey and a pro twill jersey of the same design are different garments, 220 GSM versus 210 GSM, printed graphics versus stitched twill and embroidery. Our sublimated vs tackle twill comparison lays out what actually changes.
- Size off the chart, not off memory. "He's a large" is how you end up with a large that fits like a beer tent. The published size charts give torso width, sleeve length and top-to-bottom in inches for every size, measured flat.
What Puck Drop Prints does not publish is how long artwork stays on file. In practice teams reorder season after season off the same design, but if your last order was three or four years ago, ask before you assume.
How long does a hockey jersey reorder take?
Plan on the published windows: 4 to 5 weeks for roller, sublimated and reversible, and 5 to 6 weeks for pro tackle twill. Production itself is about 3 to 4 weeks after approval, with some orders landing in as little as two. A reorder skips the design and proofing stage, but Puck Drop Prints does not publish a separate shorter reorder window, so budget the full number.
Counting backwards is the whole skill here. If your new guy wants to be in colours for the Thanksgiving tournament, the reorder goes in five to six weeks before it, not the Tuesday before. Our full turnaround breakdown has the order-by math.

Some knots you can work out in ten minutes. A jersey ordered too late takes 4 to 5 weeks regardless of how hard you pick at it.
When should you place a new team order instead?
The moment you need six or more jerseys, stop thinking about reorders. Six is the team-order minimum, and at six you are back on team pricing anyway, $55, $65 or $99, plus the extras a team order carries that a reorder does not.
Those extras are worth counting:
- Matching custom socks at $20 a pair with a team order.
- Free logo design with a team order, and the team keeps the artwork.
- Free worldwide shipping on every team order.
- A free team swag store with any team order, branded with your logo.
So a half-roster refresh, six new guys, or the year you finally retire the 2019 design, is a team order, not six reorders. A full breakdown of what a team pays at each roster size is in our guide to what custom hockey jerseys actually cost.

Reversible jerseys are $99 on a team order and $99 on a reorder of one. No premium for going back for a single sweater.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you order just one custom hockey jersey?
Yes, but only as a reorder. Puck Drop Prints does not sell one-off custom jerseys as a first order, the team minimum is six jerseys on all four types. Once a team order has been placed, a single jersey reorder is available at $85 for roller or sublimated and $99 for reversible or pro tackle twill.
How much does it cost to reorder one hockey jersey?
One reordered jersey costs $85 on roller and sublimated, and $99 on reversible and pro tackle twill. That is $30 above the $55 roller team price and $20 above the $65 sublimated team price. Reversible and pro tackle twill carry no reorder premium at all, since their team price is also $99.
Do hockey jersey reorders get cheaper if you order more?
Yes. At three pieces or more, reorder pricing resets to the original team price: $55 roller, $65 sublimated, $99 reversible, $99 pro tackle twill. Because of that break, three roller jerseys cost $165 while two cost $170, the third jersey makes the order five dollars cheaper.
Do names and numbers cost extra on a reorder?
No. Custom names and numbers are included on every Puck Drop Prints jersey type, on the original team order and on any reorder. Free worldwide shipping applies to team orders. There is no per-letter or per-digit charge, so a reordered jersey with a long last name costs the same as one with a short one.
How long does a custom hockey jersey reorder take?
Budget the published turnaround: 4 to 5 weeks for roller, sublimated and reversible jerseys, and 5 to 6 weeks for pro tackle twill. Production runs about 3 to 4 weeks after approval, and some orders arrive in as little as two weeks. A reorder skips the design stage, but no separate shorter reorder window is published.
Can you add a jersey to an order that is already placed?
Yes, if it has not gone into production yet. The Puck Drop Prints FAQ states that an order can be added to as long as it has not been sent into production. A jersey added at that stage is part of the team order at team pricing, which saves $20 to $30 versus reordering it separately later.
Order the spare now, not in November
Every team in every league gains a guy in week six. The only question is whether you paid $65 for his jersey in August or $85 for it in November, and whether he is wearing it or a borrowed practice sweater when the tournament comes around.
