Custom Beer League Hockey Jerseys: What to Order and What It Costs

By the Puck Drop Prints team. Updated October 2026.

Custom beer league hockey jerseys cost $55 to $99 each at Puck Drop Prints, on a minimum order of six, with names, numbers, logo design and worldwide shipping included. Most teams pick a Sublimated kit (jersey, socks and pant shell) at $100 per player, so a 12-player team pays $1,200 and gets it in four to five weeks. You can start building yours right now in the jersey customizer.

That is the whole answer. Everything below is the part where you figure out which of the four jersey types your particular collection of weekend warriors deserves, and how to avoid paying the mid-season penalty that catches almost every captain.

Because here is the thing about a beer league team: nobody is actually in charge. There is no athletic director signing off on a purchase order. There is one guy in the group chat who volunteered in August and now owns this decision, and eleven guys who will have opinions about the crest and none about the invoice.

If that is you, read on. If that is not you, forward this to him.

What is a beer league hockey jersey?

A beer league hockey jersey is a custom adult recreational league sweater, built to the same specs as a competitive team jersey but bought by the players themselves rather than by a program or a school. That single difference, who pays, drives every decision in this article. There is no equipment budget, so the price per player is the spec that matters most.

Practically, it means three things. The order has to clear a minimum with a roster that shrinks. Everybody has to agree on a design, which takes longer than the manufacturing does. And somebody will join in January and need a matching jersey after the original run has closed.

Good news: none of those are hard. They are just the parts nobody warns you about.

How much do custom beer league hockey jerseys cost?

Custom beer league hockey jerseys are $55 for roller, $65 for sublimated, and $99 for either reversible or pro tackle twill, per jersey, on an order of six or more. Full Uni Kits run $100 to $134 per player. Names and numbers are included on all four. Matching custom socks are $20 a pair with a team order. Shipping is free worldwide, and logo design is free with a team order.

Every one of those numbers is on our pricing page, so you know the total before you start designing.

What a 12-player beer league team actually pays

Option What is in it Per player 12-player team
Sublimated kit Jersey, socks, pant shell $100 (reg $120) $1,200
Pro tackle twill kit Jersey, socks, pant shell $134 (reg $154) $1,608
Reversible kit Jersey, socks, pant shell $134 (reg $154) $1,608
Roller kit Jersey, roller pants $100 $1,200
Sublimated jersey only Jersey $65 $780

Kit prices are per player on a team order of six or more. Full details are on our pricing page.

Twelve players, one kit each. Names, numbers, logo design and worldwide shipping included at every tier.

A hundred dollars a player for a full matching uniform is roughly one night out, and you will wear it for three seasons. If your league only checks jerseys, the sublimated jersey on its own is $65.

If you want the full breakdown across every team size, the guide to what custom hockey jerseys cost runs the math for rosters from six to thirty.

How many jerseys does a beer league team need to order?

The minimum is six jerseys, on every jersey type. A typical beer league roster of ten to fourteen clears that easily, so the minimum is almost never the problem. The real question is whether to order for your spares, and the answer is usually yes, because adding one jersey later costs $85 instead of $65.

Count the guys who show up most weeks, then add the two who show up half the time. Those two are on your roster whether the league sheet says so or not, and they will be standing in the room in November wearing a plain black practice sweater and looking sad about it.

Two things worth knowing. Six is the order minimum. And every team order comes with a free swag store, so players can order their own extras without routing every request through you. One jersey is only possible as a reorder, after an original team order exists.

Sizes are the other thing that stalls orders. Pull them off the hockey jersey size charts rather than asking the group chat what size everyone wears, because "large, I think" is not a measurement. A shared roster sheet with a size column next to every name does the nagging for you.

Which jersey type should a beer league team buy?

Sublimated at $65 is the right answer for most beer league teams. It is 220 GSM, the heaviest fabric of the four, with double-layered shoulders and elbows, unlimited colors in the design at no extra cost, and a four to five week turnaround. Roller at $55 saves you ten dollars a jersey but drops to 110 GSM with no reinforced shoulders.

Sublimation is a printing process that bonds the ink into the fabric itself rather than laying it on top, so the design cannot crack or peel and the jersey does not get heavier as the artwork gets more complicated. GSM stands for grams per square meter, the standard measure of fabric weight, higher means denser and more durable.

Jersey type Price Fabric weight Turnaround Reinforced shoulders Best for
Roller $55 110 GSM 4 to 5 weeks No Summer leagues, ball hockey, tight budgets
Sublimated $65 220 GSM 4 to 5 weeks Yes Most beer league teams
Reversible $99 160 GSM 4 to 5 weeks Yes Teams needing light and dark
Pro tackle twill $99 210 GSM 5 to 6 weeks Yes Stitched, embroidered, old-school

Tackle twill is stitched lettering and crests sewn onto the jersey rather than printed, and it is the only one of the four that supports embroidered logos. It is also the only one that takes five to six weeks instead of four to five, which matters if you are reading this in October.

A note on options. A laced collar is available on roller, sublimated and tackle twill, but not on reversible. Mesh-ventilated armpits are available on roller and sublimated, but not on reversible or tackle twill. A standard collar is available on all four. If you want the laces and the venting, sublimated is the only jersey that gives you both.

For the deeper comparison, we put the three main constructions head to head in sublimated vs tackle twill vs roller.

Do you need two sets of jerseys?

Only if your league requires a light and a dark. If it does, one reversible jersey at $99 beats two sublimated jerseys at $130 per player, and saves a 12-player team $372. It also beats two roller jerseys at $110 per player. One reversible is cheaper than two of anything we make.

A reversible carries a complete design on each side, so one $99 jersey covers a light-and-dark requirement that would otherwise cost $130 per player in two sublimated sweaters.

Check your league's rules before you spend the extra. Plenty of beer leagues assign home and away by whoever remembered to bring the right sweater, and a lot of them just hand out pinnies. If that is your league, order one set and keep the $372.

What happens when someone joins mid-season?

A reorder of one or two jerseys costs $85 each for roller or sublimated, and $99 each for reversible or tackle twill. At three or more, pricing resets to the original team rate. So a single sublimated jersey in January costs $85 rather than the $65 you paid in October, a $20 premium for ordering alone.

There is one genuinely strange consequence of that structure. Three roller jerseys reordered together cost $165, while two cost $170. The third jersey is free and then some. If you are ordering two roller reorders, order three.

The cleanest way to avoid the premium entirely is to order a couple of spares in the original run, in the sizes most of your team wears. Two extra sublimated jerseys cost $130 up front. The same two in February cost $170.

You can also still add to an order after placing it, as long as it has not gone into production yet. Once it is on the production floor, the next jersey is a reorder at reorder pricing.

Should you add matching socks?

Custom socks come in every Uni Kit, or $20 a pair on their own with a team order, in nine published sizes. On a 12-player jersey-only order that is $240, which is why most teams go straight to the $100 Sublimated kit and get the pant shell too. At $20 a pair, socks are the cheapest item on our price list, and they are the single cheapest way to make a beer league team look like it meant to do this.

Matching custom socks are $20 a pair with a team order, $240 across a 12-player roster.

One warning worth the sentence: sock sizes do not map to jersey sizes. There are nine sock sizes against 26 jersey sizes, and they are measured on different parts of the body, so a large jersey does not mean a large sock. Collect sock sizes separately.

When should a beer league team order jerseys?

Order about six weeks before your first game for roller, sublimated or reversible, and seven for tackle twill. Production takes four to five weeks (five to six for twill), and design needs one to two weeks on the front. Most beer leagues drop the puck in October or November, which means a September or early-October order is on time and a late-October order is not.

Design moves faster than people expect. First design drafts come back within three to five business days, and the first jersey draft lands five business days after you confirm the logo. The slow part is never us. The slow part is the eleven-message argument about whether the crest should be the raccoon or the toilet.

Settle the crest early. The full turnaround timeline has the order-by math if you are working backwards from a known first game.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do custom beer league hockey jerseys cost?

Custom beer league hockey jerseys cost $55 each for roller, $65 for sublimated, and $99 for reversible or pro tackle twill, on a minimum order of six jerseys. Custom names, numbers, logo design and free worldwide shipping are included at every price. A 12-player team in Sublimated kits (jersey, socks and pant shell) pays $1,200, or $100 per player.

What is the minimum order for beer league hockey jerseys?

The minimum team order is six jerseys, and that minimum is the same for roller, sublimated, reversible and pro tackle twill. A single jersey can only be bought as a reorder, after an original team order of six or more already exists. Reorders of one or two jerseys cost $85 each for roller and sublimated.

Which jersey type is best for beer league?

Sublimated at $65 per jersey suits most beer league teams. It uses 220 GSM fabric, the heaviest of the four options, includes double-layered shoulders and elbows, allows unlimited design colors at no extra cost, and ships in four to five weeks. Roller at $55 is lighter at 110 GSM and has no reinforced shoulders.

How long do custom beer league jerseys take to make?

Production takes four to five weeks for roller, sublimated and reversible jerseys, and five to six weeks for pro tackle twill. Design happens before production: first drafts arrive within three to five business days, and the first jersey draft comes five business days after the logo is confirmed. Budget six to seven weeks from first conversation to delivery.

What does it cost to add a player mid-season?

Adding one or two jerseys after the original order costs $85 each for roller or sublimated, and $99 each for reversible or pro tackle twill. At three or more jerseys, pricing resets to the original team rate. Three roller jerseys reordered together cost $165, which is five dollars less than two roller jerseys at $170.

Are custom socks included with a beer league jersey order?

Socks are included in every Uni Kit. On a jersey-only order they cost $20 per pair with a team order, in nine published sizes, which adds $240 across a 12-player roster. Sock sizes are measured separately from jersey sizes and cannot be inferred from them, because nine sock sizes are measured on different body dimensions than the 26 jersey sizes.
